The Altrusa International Foundation, Inc. is a vital part of the Altrusa International family. Since it was established in 1962, the Foundation has given support for local club service projects and assisted hundreds of individuals to improve their lives.

Through its Grants Program, the Foundation has provided funds to local Altrusa Club service projects that benefit the disadvantaged, the homeless, abused women and children, the elderly, those requiring medical care, underprivileged children and literacy. The Foundation also has provided funds to individuals for vocational training and to international students from developing countries.

The Foundation's "Club 21 Program", established in 1997, supports children with HIV and AIDS. For an annual contribution of $21 (US) or more, anyone can become a member of Club 21.

The Disaster Relief Fund enables the Foundation to respond immediately to the traumas of disasters anywhere in the world.
